Society of Certified Senior Advisors (SCSA)

Coordinated through Professional Testing (PTI)

The Certified Senior Advisor (CSA)® certification program is designed to recognize professionals who work often or almost exclusively with seniors by evaluating their ability to:

  • Identify seniors’ needs and issues accurately
  • Understand how seniors’ values and motivations affect their choices
  • Communicate and respond appropriately, effectively, and compassionately to seniors
  • Function as a resource for seniors to turn to for help with their concerns and problems

Before scheduling an exam, you must have received an authorization to test email from SCSA. For more information, visit the SCSA website or follow the “Related Links” on this page. You may also contact SCSA at 1-800-653-1785.

Scheduling for a computer based exam

First-time test takers must create a Pearson VUE web account. Please note that account activation may require up to 24 hours. When creating your account and scheduling your exam, you will need your SCSA candidate ID number from the authorization to test email sent to you upon completion of the application process. Exam appointments may be made up to one business day in advance.

After you schedule your test, Pearson VUE will send a confirmation letter listing your test date, your testing time, the address and phone number of the test center, and directions to the test center.
